April AGM is coming up this April

Hello Ladies!!

I cant believe its been 10 months since I stepped into Jacqueline’s Shoes at the Cornbury Society, and I must admit they are awfully large shoes to fill. I honest;y do believe that our group is stronger today that it was 10 months ago, progress has been slow but there has been progress.

A Reminder about cornbury Dues

for all those members who haven’t paid their dues yet please do this year,

I would like to see most the membership dues paid up by the end of February. the reason for this is it makes it a hell of a lot easier to plan through out the remainder of the year.

This year I am hope to implement some of the changes I have been talking about last year , but it will take a little bit of funding to make it happen. I am also looking into other places and venues that would be comfortable for member to come out and participate more. possibly with a second monthly event.

Origami

Take a flat, square piece of paper. Fold it in half. Fold it in half again. Keep doing that seven times – if you can. Pretty soon you’ll end up with a shapeless blob which is quite un-foldable no matter how much force you use. Take another flat, square piece of paper. Find yourself a … Read more

Inviting FTM to Esprit?

It occurred to me that it would be nice to be “squired around” while at Esprit. Having some FTM’s at Esprit would, I think be a good thing – as long as the schedule made sure that there would be events scheduled for the FTM.

Signing up for an event

I must admit that there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of putpose in signing up for our dinner. Since I’ve booked the “conference room” for the whole year, it isn’t as if there might not be any room for those who didn’t sign up.

Shall I cancel?

I am the only person signed up for the dinner on Tuesday and I suspect that I don’t want to eat dinner alone.

If I don’t see anything happening, I am going to cancel and I’ll do something else.

Merry Christmas to all the Cornbury Gals!

I would like to take this time to wish all the ladies of Cornbury a Wonderful Christmas and New Year. I look forward to the coming year. I hope to keep some of the momentum I built up over the year I am still working on plans to get Cornbury to expand and grow.

HUGS to Everyone!!

Christmas dinner 2012

Well it’s the day after the Christmas dinner and I wanted to share what a nice time I had. It had been 20 years since I last had the opportunity to dress up and I can tell you I was scared out of my mind. I sat in the car for at least 15 minutes building courage to walk across the parking lot. And just when all seemed safe I stepped out of my car and into the empty spot next to me only to have a car pull into that spot and now I’m in the way, head lights blaring on me like the opening of a vauldeville show. It wasn’t until I walked into the meeting room I finally felt I had arrived home.
