Roberta Day out with Vango and Marijka

Wells gurls , its been awhile,, i have a few Pm's to me pining for another Roberta adventure,, just got back home, and doing this just for you,, 3 am here.

Let me set the stage on this one. Davie street is in downtown Vancouver, called the west end, in a three block radius is a LGBT zone,, (I guess similar to San Fran). Very cool and extremely cd friendly,, hey you could wear a pink tutu and no one would bat an eye.

The plan was to meet up with a group called the VANGO a yahoo group, this is a social group for cd/transgendered. The Meet was at a restaurant on Davie street. the password was "the blue sky matches your shoes"

First,, Marijka from this site , contacted me and wanted to go as well. She offered the use of her house to change, and that was perfect for me , not having to do the CD bat-mobile thingy. So off i go on sat afternoon around 1:30. We had a great time getting dolled up together,, wow such a treat to have a nice big table with good lighting and a makeup mirror,, luxury.

We headed off together to Langley (a suburb of Vancouver) to hit some stores that she and I had on our to do list. We used Marijka truck for this leg.
First, a very good lingerie store,, that caterers to Cd's as well. Marika wanted to try on a few things. I picked up some fishnets,, they gave me 10 bucks off as referral sale,, net only 7!!
Next we went to the house of Rose, a premier wig shop run by Miss Rose and Sandy,, totally awesome ladies, Miss rose is like the perfect CD Mom. Anyways i showed them my makeover pics, they were blown away, since the last i seen them i was only 3 months ago, and my look was not as polished . I asked to match a wig. they had nothing in stock, but they are going to check their catalogs after i send them some pics.
Next, went to Laura's a outlet clothing store, great selection great staff. thank you rose, ( a different one). did not try anything on since were running short of time,, but will have to go back with 1-2 hours of time.

Some funny things happened,, on this leg of the trip. for me I stepped on some glue or gum ,, and my shoe sole ripped off,, I didn't even notice,, it was a thin sole so the sandal base still worked. more on this later.
As well, getting back into the truck, Marijka forms fell out of her bra and bounced under the truck,, REALLY it did,, omg funny. She has a new bra on and it was not fitting right.

Back to Marijka's for a quick refresh, and touch up,, car change to mine. and then off to downtown Vancouver from the burbs. about a 45 min drive.

We had a good chat getting to know each other, She has some great life experiences and some great stories.

Found a great parking spot and into the restaurant (luxy's on Davie) pretty quick,, We were the first there, and had a great table right beside the sidewalk to have people watch. (or people to watch us!!)

10 min later everyone showed up including the group leader called Patty. Some gurls i met before, some new, 8 in total. had a great meal and great time talking to all. One point from the conversations struck me as interesting: ( that Cd ers tend to be very open and honest people. We have so many issues being in or out of the closet and trying to balance our hobby in the real world that we tend to be pragmatic and real people to each other)

Oh by the way i found the sole of my other shoe as well, on the floor, crap shoes.

Well 3 hours later,, off to a night club called Oasis,, more of lounge with a dance floor,, the music is great and the volume usually reasonable,, I was there 4 weeks ago with my previous outing.

Had another drink , had fun flirting with the gay waiters, and especially Julie the hot DJ. I had met her last time and some of her Friends.. I called her a GG DJ,, she had not heard of GG before and I explained how we use the term in the trans worlds,, She thought this was so cool... too fun!!
Did a bit of dancing, socializing and talking and flirting and so on. Really young crowd,, i would say 75% gay lesbian,, a smattering of trans and the balance straight.

the midnight clock chimed,, well more like 12:30 and this cinderalla needed to head back before the magic ran out and she tranforms back into a boy.

Dropped Marijka off , was so great to meet her and do some bonding, very fun. Very cool gurl. Very nice meeting thank you and hosting in your house.
