Poem

I look in the mirror.

My face is as smooth as ever I can remember,

Except for wrinkles of age that I’ve tried to tame.

Eyebrows judiciously shaped and eyelashes are beautiful,

Accentuating my eyes which are twinkling behind huge round glasses.

Pearl earrings nestle in wings of shining hair,

Soft to touch.

Nature dealt me a hand of cards I didn’t want,

But behind closed doors I do the best I can.

So I look in the mirror,

And I love what I see.
